Jillian Rainingbird, Sped power academy director
Jillian Rainingbird, an enrolled member of the Chippewa-Cree Tribe of the Rocky Boy Indian Reservations, resides in Kansas City, MO, where she is a Cash Operations Manager at a casino. As a wife and mother of three, her advocacy journey began with her wheelchair-bound middle child, Jaelah.
Driven by this personal experience, Jillian has become a powerful advocate for the disabled community. She organizes parents with the Parent Power Lab, focusing on Special Education, and has championed for children with special needs at various government levels.
Appointed to the Kansas City Mayor’s Committee for People with Disabilities in 2021, Jillian also serves on the Board for Eitas, the National Parent Union, and the Missouri DESE Special Education Advisory Panel. Her unique perspective and dedication aim to positively impact the disabled and marginalized communities.
